Nafis Hashmi, a student of business administration from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), has been selected for the prestigious Millennium Campus Network fellowship this year.
He received highly competitive and prestigious Fellowship Program, which is directly supported by United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), after competing among the 136 campuses worldwide. Only five candidates are selected around the world among 30,000 candidates. Nafis Hashmi has been selected as program coordinator in UNAI-United Academic Impact of Millennium campus network.
In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on over 2,000 campuses from 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021.
Son of Arch. Nasim Hashmi and Prof. Dr. Nahid Yasmin, director general of Ad-Din Medical Collège Hospital ; Nafis Hashmi got GPA 5.00 in SSC from Motijheel Ideal School and College in 2015 and HSC from Notre Dame College in 2017.
In his reaction, Nafis Hashmi said, “Growth is the reason for the change in the human mind. My journey as a Millennium Fellow will allow me to better experience my own growth as a leader and a changemaker. With this in mind, I would love to spread whatever I learn to whoever needs it, so we can create more changemakers for a world that requires it the most.”
The fellowship authority website ‘www.millenniumfellows.org’ says, “Nafis Hashmi an avid seeker of knowledge from such a small and young country, he has dedicated his life to learning new skills and honing them. This mission has led him to build up different projects that align with the SDGs for the development of his country and in turn, the world. In this journey of life, he will experience whatever is needed for his growth to help keep the world moving.”
Quite recently, Nafis Hashmi served as the Territory Officer of Banglalink Digital – one of the leading telecommunication companies of Bangladesh. His skills in disciplines of sales, design, branding, content management, data management, and supply chain greatly assisted him to bring a fine touch to his work.
