The non-resident Ambassador of Djibouti to Bangladesh, Abdillahi Assoweh Isse on Tuesday called upon Bangladeshi businessmen and investors to utilize the investment potentials and scope of increasing export to his country.
The envoy made the call while addressing a press conference at a hotel in Dhaka.
Ambassador of Djibouti, Abdillahi Assoweh Isse is now on a visit to Bangladesh.
While addressing, the envoy informed that a business delegation from Bangladesh will visit his country in January 2026, while he described elaborately about the visit of Bangladeshi business delegation.
“Djibouti could be a very attractive investment destination for Bangladesh as the country has got some of it’s geo-strategic locations and the country is the commercial gateway to the Africa, Middle East and Asia, having due infrastructural and security facilities”, the envoy added.
The Honorary Consul of Djibouti to Bangladesh, eminent businessman and President of BARVIDA, Abdul Haque also spoke in the press conference.
He said “our investors could enjoy the favorable environment in the neconomic zones in Djibouti to diversify their export and getting the opportunity of tax rebate”.
He mentioned Bangladeshi investors have got a huge opportunity of expanding business and investment in Africa, side by side many countries of USA and Europe.
Leaders of different trade bodies of RMG, Textile, Electronic, Pharma and Food Processing sectors were also present in the press conference.
This is to mention that Bangladesh currently export RMG, Medicine, Jute and Jute Goods, Tea, Home Tex products and beverages in Djibouti.
