A total of six Bangladeshi fabric, garments and home textile manufacturers participated at Texworld, Apparel Sourcing & Home Textile Sourcing 2019 in the USA.
Bangladeshi companies witnessed huge response from buyers and the representatives of the companies were busy during the show with trade inquiries from USA and other countries.
Amongst the top in textiles and apparel sourcing shows, Texworld USA that concluded on Wednesday featured 17 product categories, ranging from knits and functional fabrics to cotton, denim, and other products, according to a statement received here.
Apparel Sourcing USA, co-located with Texworld USA, had welcomed exhibitors specializing in over 21 product groups, as well as a focus on sustainability as the spotlight, informed the organisers.
The fair, held in New York City, is not only a must-attend industry event, but a business platform where a total of 843 exhibitors from 20 countries with co-located events represented and over 5,000 visitors participated.
Sri Lankan and Pakistani companies have also attended the fair with their respective pavilions but the US market turned out to be a boon for the Bangladesh as inquiries from US has risen this year.
The US has been the leading buyer of Bangladeshi exports over the years and it continued its lead even this year.
Brand new this year, the summer edition of Texworld USA received Fashion sustain with open arms, a one-day conference originated in Berlin, Germany that was dedicated to educate attendees on sustainable practices.
Bangladesh companies those attended the fair include Asha Textile, Hi Apparel, Farseeing Knit Composite, Mam Bangladesh, Reza Fashion and Seacotex Fabrics.
The next Texworld/Apparel Sourcing USA will be held in January, 2020. Texworld/Apparel Sourcing Paris and Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics will be held in September, 2019 and African Sourcing and Fashion Week will be held in November 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
