Dr. Md Helal Miah, a distinguished Bangladeshi aerospace engineer from Nayakandi, Titas, Cumilla, has emerged as a prominent figure in global engineering and interdisciplinary research.
A PhD graduate in Mechanical Engineering and Management Science & Engineering, he has built an international academic and professional career spanning Bangladesh, China, and India. With strong technical writing expertise, Dr. Md Helal Miah has authored 43 peer-reviewed journal articles, including 12 SCIE and 31 Scopus-indexed publications, reflecting sustained contributions to high-impact scientific research.
Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, China, Dr. Md Helal Miah’s research focuses on technology and innovation management, artificial intelligence, and deep learning applications.
His ongoing work includes the development of a high-precision foreign object detection system using satellite and UAV imagery, aimed at enhancing water supply safety.
His academic training also includes doctoral degrees from Zhengzhou University (China) and Chandigarh University (India), alongside master’s and bachelor’s degrees in aircraft manufacturing engineering from Shenyang Aerospace University, China.
Dr. Md Helal Miah’s research expertise spans aircraft assembly technology, knowledge management systems, decision-making models, large language models, and advanced additive manufacturing.
His technical specialization includes aircraft tooling design, digital assembly simulation, friction stir welding, composite coatings, fatigue crack analysis, and micro structural and tribological studies.
Several of his studies have been published in leading international journals such as Scientific Reports, Measurement, Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, and Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology, Remote Sensing Applications: Society and Environment, addressing both aerospace innovation and broader societal challenges.
In addition to academia, Dr. Md Helal Miah has extensive industry and teaching experience. He previously worked as a Design Engineer at Shanghai Aritex, contributing to aircraft tooling and assembly simulations for major aerospace programs, including the COMAC C919.
He also served as a lecturer and research scholar at Chandigarh University, teaching core aerospace and mechanical engineering courses.
