Bangladesh women face off Pakistan in series decider match today

Bangladesh women will take on Pakistan women in the third and final One Day International (ODI) of a three- match series at Sher-E-Bangla Stadium, Mirpur on Friday.

The ongoing series stands at 1-1 after Bangladesh levelled the series came from a 0-1 with a thrilling super-over win in the second ODI on Tuesday last at the same venue.

Both the sides are looking forward to win the series decider match, as well well to snatch the series victory.

On a batter-friendly pitch of the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, theyplayed the last two matches but the bowlers enjoyed much than the batters when only one half-century scored by hosts’ skipper Nigar Sultana.

Bangladesh captain contributed significantly to her team, scoring 54 and 13 runs in two matches, Meanwhile, Nahida Akter took four wickets in two matches at an economy of 3.87, the slow left-arm orthodox bowler is leading wicket-taker in the series. Her best performance of 3/30 came in the first ODI, albeit in a losing cause.

So Bangladesh, it is expected that the bowlers play significant role to win the match.  

On the other hand, Pakistan captain all-rounder Nadia Dar performed exceptionally well in when she scored62 runsand claimed four wickets with an economy rate of 3.07 in two matches.

Slow left-arm orthodox bowlerSadia Iqbal’s performed extremely well in the series taking six wickets in two matches. Her accurate bowling to take wickets will be huge challenge for Bangladesh batters to face. 

Bangladesh and Pakistan women met each other 14 in occasions in ODIs. Bangladesh women won four and against their Pakistan counterparts.
