Bangladesh won four gold medals at the World Invention Competition and Exhibition (WICE) 2024, held from September 21 to 25 at MAHSA University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Teams Atlas, Code Black, and Calibrator-Z each secured gold in the 'IT & Robotics—University' category, while Team Dreams of Bangladesh excelled in the 'IT & Robotics—Senior High School' category. This year’s competition featured 15 countries, including Indonesia, South Korea, and the USA, across five categories: Applied Life Sciences, Innovative Social Sciences, Applied Physics and Engineering, Environmental Sciences, and IT and Robotics.
Sunny Jubayer, leader of Team Atlas, expressed hope that their success would inspire others. Abdullah Ibnah Hasan from Team Calibrator-Z noted the challenges in crafting hardware. Team Code Black emphasised their aim to inspire future female innovators in robotics.
