We believe we can win the war against Covid-19 defying all odds. However, if people do not use face mask and follow the health rules, it would be very difficult and challenging for the government to mitigate the situation alone.

According to the experts, the new Delta variant has been traveling from neighboring West Bengal and it will finish its journey through Bangladesh in around the next two months. Therefore, there is no alternative to wearing masks and health guidelines framed by the Directorate General of Health Services must be followed properly in a bid to defeat Coronavirus.

The government is now inoculating the people massively with Covid-19 vaccines to ensure protection of all throughout the country. In this regard, people who have not been vaccinated yet will have to travel or move cautiously through the crowded places than the vaccinated ones.  We believe by vaccinating all the people in the country, we can win the war against Covid-19.

Not a single person in the

country has died of starvation

during the pandemic

Except the educational institutions, considering the socio-economic condition of the country, the government has decided to allow all public transports to operate on the roads from August 19 in compliance with the health rules. Earlier on Wednesday all the government and private offices along with transport services resumed on a condition of maintaining health protocols after a 19-day-long nationwide strict restriction imposed to stem the spread of Covid-19.

Not a single person in the country has died of starvation as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken far-reaching plans during the Covid-19 pandemic. And the government is keeping the economy of the country afloat providing all kinds of assistance including food to people of all walks of life. Therefore, safety of own life should be ensured by individual’s first. We must educate and empower people to protect themselves from the infection of the virus as self-defence is the best way to win the war against Covid-19.
