Bangladesh to host Asia Cup

Bangladesh has been awarded the hosting rights for the men’s Asia Cup in 2027. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) made the announcement on Sunday. This will be the second time Bangladesh has staged the tournament.

Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan will compete in the Asia Cup. An additional associate member will qualify for the event.

Beyond the main tournament, the ACC has confirmed that the Women’s Asia Cup will have a Twenty20 format in 2026. The Under-19 Asia Cup will be a one-day competition in 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027.

The Men’s Emerging Asia Cup will alternate between T20 and one-day formats in 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027. The Women’s Emerging Asia Cup will be a T20 tournament in 2025 and 2027. Venues for these tournaments have yet to be decided.

However, the host country for these tournaments has not been finalized yet.
