Future agriculture will be mechanized agriculture, so we must have to impart training to all involved in farming process. We will be able to attain expected economic growth through making inputs from the highly promising agriculture sector, said experts in an event.

The remarks were made during the inaugural ceremony of a 28-day residential rural women mechanic training program, organized by the Agricultural mechanization projects through Integrated Management at Mouchak Testing Lab in Kaliakoir of Gazipur district recently.
Practical training started from October 5. Rabindrashri Barua, Additional Secretary, Extension Division, Ministry of Agriculture attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest. Agronomist Md. Khairul Alam, Director, Training Wing, Agricultural Extension Directorate, Tariq Mahamudul Islam, Project Director, Agricultural Mechanization Projects through Integrated Management were
also present.
The chief guest Rabindrashri Barua said, I have never seen that the housewives leave their houses for long 28 days of training coming from one area to another. This is a big success of our project. I'm excited seeing their interest.
Agricultural mechanization project through integrated management has taken various initiatives to modernize agriculture in Bangladesh. One of the initiatives is the participation of women in agriculture.
If Pramila can do, we will also able to do. From that thought we, a group of 30 women from the same area came for training. We will use 100% of our knowledge gained from the training by going to our area. One of them is Kalika Baonia, Village-Chamta, Upazila Baliakandi, District-Rajbari, said I will go to the village and start a workshop.
I will give the source agricultural machinery for farmers in my area. In addition, how to reduce production costs and also give quick solve if there is a problem with the machine.
He also said that future agriculture will be mechanized agriculture. If we can apply our training, we will be successful one day.
Another trainee Pramila Rani Mondal told “I have taken a rice transplanter with 50% subsidized assistance after receiving training from agricultural mechanization project through management. I myself operate the complex machines like rice transplanter, and producing seeds in trays”.
