Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy gets new director

The Prominent film actress Jyotika Jyoti will soon be joining as the director of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

The actress confirmed the news to media. 

According to the government contract, Jyotika will be the director of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy for the next two years.

Jyoti has secured her acceptance to the audience through her acting powers in several productions like "Anil Bagchir Ekdin", "Maya—The Lost Mother" and "Laal Moroger Jhuti" amongst many others. 

She said “It's a big responsibility and everyone is congratulating me. I have never worked in a position like this before, and it's a completely new experience for me. But I want to do some good work here."

Speaking about her joining, she said, "To be honest, this type of work is completely new to me, so I don't have any plans revolving around the post yet. 

Also, I have yet to visit the ministry and officially join the academy.  First, I need to know the full scope of my responsibilities and work and from there, I will be improving where it's necessary."

"This is a cultural field, and I assure everyone that I will be giving my all for the betterment of our nation's arts and culture," the actress added.

"Laal Moroger Jhuti" a national award-winning film, was the last production where Jyoti performed. In addition, she has already completed shooting for three of her upcoming films "Manusher Bagan", "Onabirto'' and "Anishtritiya".
