Bangladesh’s education quality is good: Dipu Moni

Some of the issues regarding the world ranking in education are no taking into consideration in the country. There are many different factors at work in the ranking of the world's universities. 

The quality of higher education in our country is not so bad compared to other countries. The quality of education in the country is good, but there are opportunities to do much better.

Education Minister Dipu Moni made the remarks in response to a question from reporters at Chandpur Circuit House on Friday afternoon.

The minister said, "There are many different factors at work in the ranking of universities around the world. Many universities in our country are now working on world class research. 

The research of a university in terms of world ranking in education looks at how many publications have been done, whether there are foreign teachers and student universities. Besides, there are several such factors. We may not have been aware of such things before. "

Now the issue of ranking is being discussed a lot. Our universities are getting more and more focused now. We hope our universities will do much better in the world rankings in the coming days, she added.

Later, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni inaugurated the distribution of paddy seeds and fertilizers among 1200 small and marginal farmers at Chandpur Sadar Upazila auditorium.

Chandpur Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Majlish, Superintendent of Police Milon Mahmud, District Awami League Vice President Tafajjal Hossain Patwari, Chandpur Municipality Mayor Mohammad Zillur Rahman Jewel, Additional Deputy Commi­ssioner (Overall) Mohammad Imtiaz Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police Asif Mohiuddin (Sadar Circle) were present among others.
