The economic growth of Bangladesh has been exemplary in the south Asian region. Recent growth in economy says that there has been an 8.1 percent growth in gross domestic product (GDP) in the fiscal 2018-19, which is a remarkable achievement while the current global outlook seems to be quite challenging. Recently a report has been published in this daily that says an international forum had gathered to discuss delivering better project outcomes in the south Asian region. It is being said that this is the first ever forum where Bangladesh is promoting cooperation among the southern regions of Asia.
High ranking officials in the Asian Development Bank has dubbed Bangladesh a land of opportunity and rightfully so. In the past decade the country has seen huge development in multiple sectors which are playing crucial roles for the entire Asia-Pacific region. Moreover, the government has plans which when fulfilled will put Bangladesh shoulder to shoulder with many of the developing countries. On another note, in the near future, the country is hoping to advance towards the status of a middle income country through fulfilling ‘Vision 2021’.

The enormous leap Bangladesh will take after the completion of the mega projects in terms of economy, infrastructure and trade can be left to the imagination of people. Bangladesh is now the 32nd largest economy and by 2030, the country would be the 24th largest economy in the world very soon. The main area of concern and focus of Bangladesh is to achieve the targets of SDGs by 2030 and to become a developed country by 2041. As such, it is high time for foreign investors to leap into the action and gain a foothold in the march towards fulfilling the SDGs.
