The Pran-DRU Media Cricket Tournament-2019, organised by the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), is going to begin on Saturday (November 16) at the Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium in the capital.
Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, MP, will inaugurate the tournament as the chief guest at 11:00 am, says a DRU press release.
A total of 48 teams from 48 print, electronic and other media houses, split into eight groups, will compete in the tournament in the first round of the six-a-side six-over match. A group champion will play in the quarterfinals. Later, the semi-final and final match will take place at the same venue.
The cricket team of Daily Bangladesh Post will face the Somoy TV cricket team in the first round on Saturday, opening day of the Pran-DRU Media Cricket Tournament-2019.
The Bangladesh Post cricket team has been placed in ‘Group B’ along with Somoy TV, Ajkaler Khobor, Bhorer Kagoj, Dinkal and Jagonews24.com.
