Bangladesh will host Pakistan for a full-fledged tour after the end of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, confirmed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nizamuddin Chowdhury on Monday.

Pakistan will tour Bangladesh for a complete series that comprises all three formats of the game (Test, ODI and T20). The Pakistan team are scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on November 15. However, the match fixtures has not been finalised yet.

“The Pakistan series will happen right after the (T20) World Cup. The cricket operations department is in talks with the Pakistan board to finalise the details. All formats will be included, there will be more ODIs and Tests,” the BCB CEO told the local media on Monday.

Pakistan team last visited Bangladesh back in 2015. However, there was no bilateral series between the teams. The host clean swept the three-ODI series, won the solitary T20I and also drew the one-off Test match.

This series will be Bangladesh’s first in the current World Test Championship (WTC) window, while Pakistan have already kick-started their campaign with one win and one defeat in the Caribbean soil. They will head into the away series with an enviable record of having won 10 of their 11 Tests in Bangladesh. Their T20I numbers are equally impressive, with 10 victories in 12 outings. However, this time it will be a tough outing for the Pakistanis in Bangladesh as this formidable Tigers squad will undoubtedly want to improve their win ratio against Pakistan.

Meanwhile, after the Pakistan series at home soil, Bangladesh are expected to tour New Zealand and South Africa as well. Nizamuddin said the board is in talks with the other boards for arranging the series.

“The Cricket Operations Department is in touch with the South African Board. We have a tour of New Zealand right after the Pakistan tour. We have a very tight schedule ahead. The cricket operations department is communicating with the boards accordingly,” he added.
