Experts at a panel session opined that Bangladesh is now a hub of sustainable industry where there have the world’s 200 best green factories .
The panelists in the session expressed their concern that despite world’s best sustainable factories, buyers are not yet mentally prepared to pay the fair price just for sustainable initiatives.
The discussion session titled“5th Tex Talk- talking about textile” on “Sustainable Textile Processing- Bangladesh perspective” was held on Friday at International Convention City Bashundhara, Dhaka.
Speakers also observed that the brands are showcasing sustainable products made from sustainable processes in Bangladesh but squeezing more and more to reduce price, even sometimes asking for new certifications that cost huge in the process.
