Bangladesh National Awami Party (Bangladesh NAP) has observed the historic Palashi Day recalling the tragic loss of independence of this part of the subcontinent and British take-over of Bengal, Bihar and Orissa.
On the occasion, Dhaka city unit of the party arranged a discussion at Jadu Mia auditorium at Nayapaltan in the city.
The party’s secretary general M Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan spoke at the event as the chief guest with Dhaka city unit president Md Shahidunnabi Dablu in the chair. NDP secretary general Md Manzur Hossain Isa, Labour Party’s secretary general Abdullah Al Mamun, Jana Dal secretary general Selim Ahmed, vice chairman of Bangladesh NAP Swapan Kumar Saha, organising secretary Md Kamal Bhuiyan, the party’s leaders Principal Nazrul Islam, Md Shamim Bhuiyan and Sadia Islam Imon spoke at the discussion, among others.
