ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Wednesday called on JETRO Chairman and CEO Norihiko Ishinguro at Akasaka Palace in Tokyo.
Palak is now visiting Japan as Prime Minister's entourage and held the meeting with JETRO CEO on the 2nd day of the tour.
During the meeting they discussed how to work together flourish ICT sector of Bangladesh through joint cooperation between Bangladesh and Japan.
While addressing ICT State Minister highlighted the framework of how to build Smart Bangladesh by 2041 and the latest development features of ICT sector of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He said a Smart Leadership Academy is being established in Bangladesh.
The meeting emphasized on joint leadership of both the countries on how to turn the academy more effective so that it can contribute fully to build Smart Bangladesh.
Palak also discussed Frontier Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Microchip Designing and Nano Tech Designing and Cyber Security issues with the JETRO Chairman.
He also laid importance on issues like increasing business cooperation among companies of Bangladesh and Japan, attracting Japanese companies to invest in High Tech Park in Bangladesh and on investing in cyber security.
Senior JETRO officials were also present on the occasion.
