A B2B matching event between Bangladeshi and Japanese companies started on virtural platform on Thursday. The event was organized by the Japan-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JBCCI) with the support of Haison International, an investment management and advisory services firm of Bangladesh, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Tokyo and the Bangladesh Embassy in Japan. This is the third annual B2B match-making program which will continue up to March 15.
The three weeks duration B2B matching on “EventHub” platform will help the participating Bangladeshi companies to interact face to face with a large number Japanese companies where both parties can discuss business ventures through web meetings.
Twenty five Bangladeshi companies will participate the program to have B2B meetings in the areas of logistics, textile, textile chemicals, leather goods, agriculture, ICT, finance/insurance, engineering & consultancy, e-learning, batteries, renewal energy (solar), accounting, consultancy, business support & research, skills development, leather & jute, foods, industrial park, law firm, BPO, outsourcing & software and health & beauty.
This is the third online B2B program after the pandemic, the first business match-making was held in 2020 where 22 Bangladeshi companies and 80 Japanese companies participated. In total 180 meetings were held during the program. Similarly, the second online program was held in 2021 where 30 Bangladeshi companies and 62 Japanese companies participated. The total number of meetings were 160.
Quite a good number of bilateral cooperation are at different stages of negotiation for partnership from the past sessions of 2020 & 2021. It is expected that the program of 2022 will also be successful like earlier and the Bangladesh companies will interact with many Japanese companies during the event.
