Bangladesh-India amity folk fest held in Jhenaidah

Daylong Bangladesh-India amity folklore and cultural festival was concluded in Jhenaidah on Tuesday night. Aiming at stronger friendship between the two neighboring countries, the programme was organized by Ganaganga Little Magazine at Jhenaidahn district Shilpakala Academy. 

Jhenaidah district administration and ruling Awami League (AL) Jhenaidah district committee general secretary, also ex mayor of Jhenaidah municipality Saidul Karim Mintu jointly patronized the progarmme.

Presided over by Jhenaidah deputy commissioner (DC) Manira Begum, divisional commissioner of Khulna Zillur Rahman Chowdhury attended the programme as chief guest, while Saidul Karim Mintu as the main discussant. Eminent lawyer, also AL youth and sports affairs secretary Bikash Kumar Ghosh, renowned teacher and litterer from Purulia in the West Bengal Dr. Doyamoy Ray, head of the department of Bengali in Jhenaidah government Keshab Chandra (KC) College Professor Manoj Kanti Mandal and Ganaganga Little Magazine editor Dilip Ghosh attended as special guests. Poet Gulzer Hossain facilitated the event.

Thousands of audiences enjoyed the event enriched with eminent artists and personalities and expressed their satisfaction with frequent claps.

The discussants said the store of the culture of both India and Bangladesh is enriched which should be identified, otherwise it could not come to any effect as desired for our enrichment. The daily life culture is the family or society is the culture of a nation it should be nursed with love and patriotism, they said.
