The government is introducing new restrictions on entry into Bangladesh.

Every passenger will have to fill up an online health declaration three days before entering the country. The decision will be effective from April 25.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has already issued a notification in this regard.

The notification issued on Wednesday night (April 20) said passengers must fill out a health declaration form three days before arriving in the country. They will fill up the online form by visiting the website httphealthdeclaration.dghs.gov.bd. After filling the form, a health card with QR code will be provided to them. Passengers have to print it or keep the soft copy (on mobile) on their phone.

It has been said in the circular that entering Bangladesh through transiting any country, a new health declaration form has to be filled. The airlines will check the health cards of the passengers while boarding. After arriving in the country, the passenger has to show the health card with QR code or soft copy on the mobile at the airport.

CAAB online health declaration form includes information about the passenger's Covid-19 infection, vaccinations, fever and cough. Until now, one had to enter the country by filling the health declaration form in the paper prepared by the health department. Before entering the country, passengers had to stand in long lines at the counter of the Department of Health before the immigration counter.

According to the restrictions, passengers who have taken the full dose of the coronavirus vaccine do not need to undergo RT PCR. However, in that case the passengers have to show the vaccination certificate.

And passengers who have one dose or do not receive any vaccine, must have a Coronavirus negative certificate within 72 hours of entering Bangladesh. Children under 12 do not have to undergo any Covid-19 test. But they have to follow other instructions regarding health.

It has also been informed that there is no obligation to take a coronavirus test from Bangladesh to go abroad. Passengers will follow the instructions of the country they are going to.
