The government confirmed three more cases of coronavirus in Bangladesh on Sunday, raising the number of COVID-19 patients to 27. Among the infected patients, director of the government’s disease monitoring agency, IEDCR, Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora said two are men and one woman -- all aged between 30 years to 40 years.

Two of them returned from abroad while the other came to the contact with a previously-infected patient, she said in the daily briefing. They are in good condition, though one of them has co-morbidities such as diabetes and bronchitis. But symptoms are currently mild. The IEDCR so far tested 564 people for coronavirus.

The government called upon the people to adopt preventive measures to fight the virus instead of getting panicked. People have been asked to maintain social distancing, wah hands frequently with soap and cover cough and sneezes. The government is also implementing 14 days mandatory quarantine for those who returned home from abroad.
