Bangladesh face India in the SAFF U-16 final today

Motivated Bangladesh U-16 national football team will take on their Indian counterparts in the SAFF U-16 Championship final today.

The match is scheduled to be heldat the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, Bhutan.

The match will kick off at 6 pm (BST).

Bangladesh Captain Nazmul Huda Faisal, however, after their first match defeat against India quite positive, as he thinks the defeat motivated the players more to play better football.

“We lost the first match against India... the defeat motivated the players to play better football. Our target to win and will try heart and soul to reach the goal. We will concentrate not to repeat the mistakes in the final match, those we did in the last match.” said the Bangladesh captain.

Team is in good shape at the moments after the victory against Pakistan in the semifinal and boys are upbeat to take the trophy in home beating India in the final.

Bangladesh, earlier, beat Pakistan by 2-1 in the second semifinal and confirmed their placein final when India confirmed their finalspot thrashing Maldives by 8-0 in the first semifinal.

Earlier, Bangladesh made a losing start as they suffered a solitary goal defeat to defending champions India but bounced back to earn a lone goal victory over Nepal in their second match to finish Group A runners-up.

While Pakistan beat Bhutan by 2-1 in their group opening match and defeated Maldives by 3-0 in their second group match to emerge group B top.
