Bangladesh expect good start against Indonesia

Bangladesh national women’s football team will begin their tri-nation FIFA friendly matches with taking Indonesia today at King Abdullah II Stadium in Amman, Jordan.  

The match will kick off at 8 pm Bangladesh time and 5pm local (Jordan) time.  

Both the manager and the captain, Mahmuda Aklhter and Afida Khondokar, respectively are optimistic to make winning start today against Indonesia. 

Looking forward to win the first match against the upper ranked Indonesia, team manager Mahmuda Akhter and captain Afida expressed their hig hope after their last practice session in on Friday.    

According to a vedio message from Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), captain Afida said, “We have been here for a few days to accustom ourselves with the localcondition and taking part in the practice sessions following the instruction of our coach. We are expecting a good result against Indonesia in our first match.” 

“Tomorrow our first match. We have taking preparation for this match for last few days, Inshallah there will be something good. Team is better than that we had in Dubai. The combination of junior and senior is good. After joining seniors, we are in good shape and now we are a strong side,” skipper Afida added.   

Team manager Mahmuda Akter said that players completed their training and all are sound and fit. Mahmuda expected that the girls would be able to snatch full three points against Indonesia.

“Tomorrow our first match against Indonesia. We are expecting to win the match and will leave the field with three points. Our last practice session was good. Team bonding is good, hopefully something will be positive,” said Mahmuda. 

“In last matches against UAE, we had just a few experienced (senior) players in the team, this time we have most of seniors in the squad, the combinnaion of senior and junior are very good. Hopefully we could do something good. 

Meanwhile, Bangladesh is participating in this series as part of their preparations for the upcoming AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers, where they will face Myanmar, Bahrain and Turkmenistan.
