British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Robert Chatterton Dickson said the economy of Bangladesh is progressing rapidly, as a result, the demand for various types of products, including electronics, are increasing in the country.
British High Commissioner made the comments while he was inspecting the industrial park of country’s leading business conglomerate PRAN-RFL Group.
The High Commissioner visited Danga Industrial Park of PRAN-RFL Group located in Narsingdi on Monday.
The envoy said PRAN-RFL Group is playing important role in meeting the demand of these products.
Dickson said he was impressed by the overall activities of PRAN-RFL Group and praised the group for manufacturing products using state-of-the-art technology.
He welcomed the fact that PRAN-RFL has received equity investment from British International Investment (BII) and has raised capital in the London market. He hoped the UK could play a future role in financing PRAN-RFL’s growth. Uzma Chowdhury, Director (Corporate Finance) at PRAN-RFL Group, welcomed Robert Chatterton Dickson at Danga Industrial Park. The British High Commissioner visited various manufacturing units of PRAN-RFL Group including refrigerator, footwear and AC.
Uzma Chowdhury said, "Processed food products, electronics and household items play a big role in improving people's quality of life. PRAN-RFL is committed to delivering quality products at affordable prices. And that's why the products of PRAN-RFL are very popular among common people of the country. Currently, PRAN-RFL products are being exported to 145 countries across the globe. Now, our aim is to spread the products of PRAN-RFL more widely in different parts of the world”.
