Bangladesh continued their strong showing in the Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi tournament, dismantling Malaysia 73-22 in a one-sided affair at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on Monday.

Meanwhile, Indonesia recorded their second straight win beating South Korea by 43-32 points with two creditable lonas held at the same venue on Tuesday.

On Monday, the home team established control from the opening whistle, building a commanding 37-4 lead by halftime and never looking back. Bangladesh's Al Amin, with his impressive raiding skills, received the player of the match award.

Malaysia, still reeling from their opening defeat to Nepal, found themselves overwhelmed by Bangladesh's aggressive raiding tactics and impenetrable defense. The Bangladeshi raiders, led by the dynamic trio of Arduzzaman Munshi, Mizanur Rahman, and Al Amin, consistently breached Malaysia's defensive lines, amassing a significant point advantage. Bangladesh now sets their sights on their next opponent, Indonesia, on Wednesday. This matchup presents a potentially easier challenge for the confident Bangladeshi squad. A victory against Indonesia will guarantee Bangladesh a spot in the coveted semifinals.

Despite the convincing win over Malaysia, Coach Abdul Jalil remains focused on the upcoming encounter with Nepal. He emphasizes the importance of the Nepal match, stating, "The final match against Nepal is absolutely critical. They are a formidable opponent, and defeating them is essential for our journey to the semifinals."

Echoing the coach's sentiment, the hero of the match, Al Amin, expressed his determination, saying, "We aimed to secure a dominant victory against Malaysia to boost our confidence. This win is crucial for our morale. However, our ultimate goal is to emerge victorious in the final match against Nepal."

The upcoming clash between Bangladesh and Nepal will be a pivotal moment in the tournament. Bangladesh must overcome a strong opponent to secure a semifinal berth and continue their quest for glory in the Bangabandhu Cup Kabaddi.
