Bangladesh donates medical aid to Nepal for Covid

Bangladesh on Tuesday handed over medicines and health protection items to Nepal to help the country fight the deteriorating Covid-19 situation.

Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen and Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque handed over those items to Nepalese Ambassador in Dhaka Dr. Banshidhor Mishra at the state guest house Padma.

The Foreign Minister handed over a token box of antiviral Remdisivir injection to the Ambassador as part of 5,000 vials of Remdisivir to Nepal from SAARC COVID Emergency Fund created at the instruction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

These Remdisivir were transported by the Himalyan Airlines to Kathmandu arranged by the Nepalese Embassy in Dhaka.

The Health Minister handed token boxes of Hydrocloroquine tablets manufactured by Essential Drugs Company, PPE and masks for the friendly Nepalese people.

Senior Secretary of the Foreign Ministry Masud Bin Momen and Health Services Division Secretary Lokman Hossain Miah were present during the ceremony.
