Bangladesh announce T20 WC squad

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup.

Chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu announced the squad at a press conference at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium at Mirpur on Thursday noon.

The World Cup mission of Bangladesh team will start on October 16. The Tigers will face off Scotland in the first round. The other two teams in Group B are hosts Oman and Papua New Guinea. 

Bangladesh will get Super-12 ticket if they are among the top two teams in the first round.

Bangladesh Squad:

Mahmudullah Riyad (captain), Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Soumya Sarkar, Liton Kumar Das, Afif Hossain Dhrubo, Mohammad Naim Sheikh, Kazi Nurul Hasan Sohan, Mohammad Shamim Hossain, Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mohammad Shariful Islam, Sheikh Mehedi Hasan and Nasum Ahmed.

Rubel Hossain and Aminul Islam Biplob will be kept at reserve members.
