Former minister and member of BNP Standing Committee Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan said Bangladesh has achieved independence for the second time. It is a victory of 18 crore people of the country.
Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan said that at a street rally on Friday held during a victory and peace procession of BNP in Palash upazila of Narsingdi after the Sehikh Hasina resigned from her post as Prime Minister.
The procession was brought out from the toll plaza of Shaheed Moyez Uddin Bridge in Palash upazila under BNP banner at 4 pm. He also requested the new generation to keep calm and move forward.
He said we have to build a Bangladesh on the basis of principles, discipline, justice and ethics. No wrong doings should be tolerated here. He called on the interim government to hold a free, fair and impartial election very soon. Several thousand people of various occupations, including leaders and activists of BNP participated in the procession. Several thousand leaders and activists of BNP participated in the procession with motorcycles, private cars and other vehicles and paraded through various roads of the upazila.

Prayer was held for the salvation of the departed soul who became martyr during the anti-discriminatory student movement and the speedy recovery of all the injured brave students at the victory and peace procession. People were called upon to ensure the safety of the state institutions and the residents of the Hindu community along with maintaining a peaceful environment.
