New World Bank Country Director to Bangladesh and Bhutan Abdoulaye Seck termed Bangladesh a ‘true global champion’ on various fronts. The economic capacity of Bangladesh is much better compared to other countries in Asia. Abdoulaye Seck said this when he made a courtesy call on Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal at the secretariat office in the city on Tuesday.  He also praised the time-befitting steps of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in tackling the pandemic.

The World Bank is one of the important development partners of Bangladesh. But in 2012, at the instigation of some conspirators, bringing baseless corruption charge, the World Bank, abruptly, pulled out of its financing Padma Bridge project. Later, other development partners followed the World Bank.

The world leaders are now praising

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s bold

 leadership, highlighting her tireless

efforts that made Bangladesh

a role model before the globe

Padma Bridge is now a ‘symbol of pride, honour and ability’ of Bangladesh. The world leaders are now praising Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s bold leadership, highlighting her tireless efforts that made Bangladesh a role model before the globe. Besides, all global development partners like International Monetary Fund (IMF) and international agencies are also lauding Bangladesh’s ongoing development works.

Apart from these, the prestigious international newspapers and news agencies are running different articles and news stories on Sheikh Hasina’s leadership, saying the story of the phoenix could be an appropriate example to describe her tale if someone intends to look into her background.

They all are now commending Bangladesh’s overall socioeconomic development under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina is a brand name today as she reached this position through long struggle and that is why, her bold leadership earned accolades in the international arena.

Bangladesh emerges as a dignified nation on the world stage and the country wants to move keeping its head high. But it is very unfortunate that BNP does not see or like the country’s development. Anti-liberation force BNP-Jamaat wants to mar the development of the incumbent government as they do not have respect to the country’s constitution and democracy and wants to go to power in an undemocratic way. Although the present government is working relentlessly to fulfill the people's expectations, they are hatching conspiracy against the country and the government. Hence, we all must give befitting reply to any kind of conspiracy and violence in the name of anti-government movement as country’s national election is approaching nearer.
