Bangladesh A reeling as Windies dominate Day 1

Bangladesh A team has scored 135-6 wickets in 43 overs at stumps against West Indies A in the four-dayer at Darren Sammy Cricket Ground, Lucia on Thursday.

The match started late due to persistent rain and only 43 overs were played on Day 1. Bangladesh team captain Mohammad Mithun and Nayeem Hasan were unbeaten on 42 and 23 runs respectively.

Bangladesh were invited to bat first after losing the toss, the tourist suffered a setback as the opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy got dismissed for a duck. 

Shaman Islam and Saif Hassan tried to recover but failed, then Bangladesh kept losing wickets at regular pattern and gradually slumped to 65-5.

Captain Mithun and Nayeem put on a 44-run partnership which provided some resistance at the end of the day's play.

Marquino Mindley took three and Justin Greaves picked up couple of wickets for the West Indies.
