A mural Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, wife of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has been unveiled at Chittagong University (CU).
Vice Chancellor of Chittagong University Professor Dr Shirin Akhter unveiled the mural at Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Hall on Sunday.
CU VC Dr Shirin Akhtar said that this majestic woman was the source of political inspiration of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Bangamata has inspired the Father of the Nation to work for the welfare of the people in all fields.
This great person will be forever remembered by the nation for ages.
CU Pro VC Prof. Benu Kumar Dey and Registrar (Acting) Prof. SM Monirul Hasan were present on the occasion.
Besides, Provost and Proctor of Shaheed Abdur Rob Hall Dr. Rabiul Hasan Bhuiyan, Provost of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunesha Mujib Hall Dr. Prakash Dasgupta, Provost of ShamsunNahar Hall Dr. Laila Khaleda (Ankhi), IQAC Additional Director Dr. Mohammad Omar Farooq, Branch Secretary Other leaders of Chhatra League including Iqbal Hossain Tipu were present.
Later a special munajat was offered seeking the forgiveness of the soul of Bangamata.
