Bangabandhu’s murals being constructed in Chandpur UZs

Bangabandhu murals are being erected in front of all Upazila Complex Buildings of Chandpur. In this regard, the local government engineering department is implementing the construction of murals in front of each upazila council.

A letter with design has been submitted to the Upazila Engineering Department for constructing a mural with the same design, height, same color and picture of Bangabandhu. Chandpur Sadar Upazila Local Government Engineering Department Assistant Engineer Shahjahan Alamgir gave this information on Monday 5 October.

According to the information received, the local government department sent a letter of instruction with design to each upazila of the country to construct Bangabandhu mural in front of each Upazila Parishad. 5 lakh 50 thousand tk has been allocated for each mural.

Each should be 13 feet high and 5 feet wide. The local government engineering department is implementing the construction work under government direction. Meanwhile, construction work of Bangabandhu Mural has been completed at Chandpur District Council, Chandpur Sadar, Faridganj, Haimchar and Chandpur Government College premises. However, there are still some aesthetic or visually pleasing constructions works left, said the concerned assistant.

He further said, ‘It has been constructed in front of Chandpur Sadar Upazila to commemorate the year of Mujib. Bangabandhu Mural work has already been completed in Chandpur District Council and Chandpur Government College. Bangabandhu Mural at Chandpur Sadar has been inaugurated on 15 August 2020 on the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. But there is still some work to be done. '
