While unwrapping books on the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his speeches Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said the speeches of Bangabandhu are an invaluable asset for the present and future generations.

In his speeches, Bangabandhu, the greatest Bangali of all time, had given directions on how Bangladesh will run. Therefore, it is very important for members of parliaments (MPs), the people and the future generations to listen the speeches in order to know Bangladesh and its people.

In 50 years, our generation or the next generation, generations after generations will know the speeches and through this they will get the opportunity to understand Bangladesh, know the condition of the people, their socio-economic development, everything. Of them, Bangabandhu’s March 7 speech was one of the most celebrated speeches in the world, which was a great efficacious message to the freedom-seeking people to make them jump into battle breaking the chains of subjugation.

The historic March 7 speech is a fiery address that Bangabandhu delivered at a mammoth rally in the then "Race Course Maidan", now Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital Dhaka in 1971. How an address can awaken the whole nation, inspire them to leap into the War of Liberation for Independence, Bangabandhu’s ‘historic 7 March Speech’ is a unique example.

Our new generation must

listen to Bangabandhu’s,

speeches, follow his ideals

 and strive to materialise

 his dreams

The historic address of Bangabandhu March 7 will be an eternal source of inspiration not only for us but also for freedom-loving people around the world. We believe the appeal of the historic March 7 speech is everlasting as it contains electrifying effects.

Apart from the historic March 7 speech, his (Sheikh Mujib) all other speeches and addresses would also continue to motivate the deprived, exploited and freedom-loving people of world always.

Bangabandhu’s speech will always encourage the nation to fight against corruption, misrule and oppression. We must say that the speeches were not only call for the Bangli nation to fight for freedom or against corruption but also were direction for all nations.

Imbued with the spirit of Bangabandhu's March 7 speech people became overwhelmed, forging decisive rock-solid unity for the independence to get rid of injustice, deprivation, exploitation and torture in 1971. We think his speeches always encourage and guide us to build up our nation. Our new generation must listen to Bangabandhu’s speeches, follow his ideals and strive to materialise his dreams.
