‘Bangabandhu’s biography can help today’s young generation to build life. If they follow the Father of the Nation’s ideal, they can be an ideal citizen of the country.’
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palakmade this remark while inaugurating the ‘Mujib Olympiad’ competition as the chief guest at a virtual press conference on Tuesday.
The main aim of ‘Mujib Olympiad’ is to present the issues related to the personal life, political and state career of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to the new generation. Bengali speakers from all over the world are expected to take part in the Olympiad.
Mentioning the path of Bangabandhu’s ideology to win the struggle of life the state minister said, “Bangabandhu has dedicated his life for the people and the country. Due to Bangabandhu’s foresight, wisdom, courage, talent and passion and love, 7.5 core people of the country became united in the war of liberation and gave the gift of independent sovereign Bangladesh through thousands of struggles”.
Palak said, “An in-depth analysis shows that Bangabandhu was an ideal and selfless politician, an ideal child, a responsible husband and father. At a young age, he became the centre of national politics and the heart of the people of Bengal”.
Mentioning that the country’s generation of artists, writers and creative talents are using technology in their creations, the state minister further said,“A full-length animation film has been made based on the book‘Mujib Amar Pita’ written by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Bangabandhu’s biography. The film will be released by 2021”.
It is to be noted that on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangabandhu's birth, childhood, education, adolescence, political life, role in language movement, six point movement, mass uprising of seventy nine, imprisonment, liberation war, declaration of independence, release, return home Construction, personal life and family and other events of his life is to be presented to the general public, especially the young generation through online platforms.
The Mujib Olympiad will be held on June 25 from 3pm to 12pm. Registration can be done till 12 midnight on June 24.
