Bangabandhu's Bangladesh is ahead of Pakistan today in all indices, said Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi, Birpratik, MP.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has overcome thousands of obstacles, endured setbacks and established Bangladesh as a dignified country in the world with her foresight, prudence, political wisdom and experience, he added.
The minister made the statement as the chief guest at a function organized by the Ministry of Textiles and Jute to mark the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence at the BTMC conference room on Thursday noon.
The Textiles and Jute Minister said, on the birth centenary of Bangabandhu and the golden jubilee of independence, being inspired by the spirit of the great liberation war our pledge should be to build a happy, prosperous and developed Bangladesh collectively for the next generation.
Textiles and Jute Secretary Lokman Hossain Mia, BTMC Chairman Brig Gen Md Zakir Hossain, Handloom Board Chairman Md Shah Alam and others were present at the event. Earlier, the Minister and Secretary inaugurated Bangabandhu Corner at BTMC Bhaban.
