Bangabandhu Parishad on Monday strongly condemned and protested against issuing threat to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
In a statement, Acting President of Bangabandhu Parishad Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique and General Secretary Prof ABM Faruq protested the death threat issued by a BNP leader at a public meeting held recently in Rajshahi.
They said in the past, the BNP-Jamaat attempted to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina 19 times and the Almighty Allah saved her from the attacks.
The statement read according to the law, it is a heinous crime for attempting and issuing threat to kill any citizen of the country.
Bangabandhu Parishad wants an end to this hateful politics and urged the government to ensure exemplary punishment of the BNP leader, who issued threat to kill Prime Minister and her associates.
In protest of the abominable incident, Bangabandhu Parishad will hold a human-chain in front of the Jatiya Press Club at 5pm today.
