The ‘Bangabandhu National Youth Day-2020’ was celebrated through various programmes across the country on Sunday (November 1).
With the aim of building ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Bangabandhu and keeping in mind the creativity, self-confidence and enthusiasm of the youth, the government celebrated the National Youth Day named after Bangabandhu this year marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
In Magura, on this occasion, various programmes including performance of national anthem, hoisting of national flag and prevention of drug and child marriage, giving of signatures against dowry and eve-teasing were held on the premises of District Youth Development Department, reports our Magura Correspondent.
Magura-1 MP Advocate Saifuzzaman Shikhar attended a discussion on Bangabandhu National Youth Day as the chief guest in Magura on Sunday.
Advocate Saifuzzaman Shikhar, MP from Magura-1 constituency, inaugurated the programme as the chief guest. Deputy Director of District Youth Development Department Md Shahidul Islam, Deputy Director of District Agriculture Extension Department Prashant Kumar Pramanik, Sadar Upazila Chairman Abu Nasir Bablu, Awami League leaders Munshi Rezaul Haque and Ashraful Alam spoke with Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Magura Ashraful Alam in the chair.
At the end of the discussion, loan checks and certificates worth Tk 9 lakh were distributed among 13 youths and young women trained in various courses in district youth development.
In Faridpur, a discussion was held in Faridpur on the occasion of Bangabandhu National Youth Day, reports our Fardpur Correspondent.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Faridpur Atul Sarkar addressed the discussion as the chief guest organized by Faridpur District Administration and Youth Development Department.
Deputy Director of the District Youth Development Department ASM Moinul Ahsan chaired the discussion while, Deputy Director of Local Government Department Md. Moniruzzaman, Acting Chairman of Zila Parishad Jharna Hasan and others were present as special guests.

On this occasion, a discussion meeting and award distribution programme was held in the hall room of the Department of Youth Development at Tinmatha area in Bogura town at 11 am.
Bogura Deputy Commissioner Md. Ziaul Haque addressed the function as the chief guest under the chairmanship of KM Abdul Matin, Deputy Director, Department of Youth Development.
At the end of the programme, certificates, loan cheques and prizes were distributed among the youth trainees.

The discussion was held at Jibannagar Upazila Parishad Auditorium at the initiative of Jibannagar Youth Development Department under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer SM Munim Lincoln.
Jibannagar Upazila Parishad Chairman Hafizur Rahman, Vice Chairman Abdus Salam Isha, Woman Vice Chairman Ayesha Sultana Lucky, Jibannagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Saiful Islam, Upazila Youth Development Officer Ashraful Islam and others distributed cheques among youths after the discussion.
