Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance stages ‘Indemnity’

Ziaur Rahman drafted the Indemnity Act to exempt the murderers of Bangabandhu and his family. The law prevented the killers from being brought to justice. Later on, when the daughter of Bangabandhu became the Prime Minister in 1996 this law was revoked. 

Under the supervision of Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance the drama titled ‘Indemnity’ has been staged at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. This was organized under the supervision of Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance President Advocate Tarana Halim, Former Information Minister.

This was the third exhibition was held at the National Academy of Art and Dance Auditorium on November 15. 

Prior to the staging of the play a discussion was held addressed by the Honorable Minister of Law, Advocate Anisul Haque, MP. Also present were Dr. Enamul Haque, Senior Vice President, Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance, Professor Rezaul Karim, University of Chittagongm, Bichha Jalal, freedom fighter, central leader, Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance, Actor Riaz, Central Leader, Bangabandhu Cultural Coalition, Shuvrodeb, music artist, central leader, Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance.

At the end of the meeting, the drama ‘Indemnity’ was staged, written by Manna Hira. Renowned artistes like Azizul Hakim, Manas Bandopadhyay, Arman Parvez, Joyraj, Farida Chanda, Shyaml Zakaria performed in the play.
