Speakers at a discussion and prize giving ceremony on Bangabandhu creative merit searching competition in Jhenaidah called upon the guardians to make their children good citizens so that they could contribute in the society building activities in near future.
The event was held in Jhenaidah district Shishu Academy auditorium on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Jhenaidah SM Rafiqul Islam distributed prizes among the winners in the competition with district education officer Manirul Islam in the chair.
Additional deputy commissioners Rathindra Nath Roy, Salama Salim and Razibul Islam Khan and assistant inspector of the office of the district education office Mozaffar Hosasian attended as special guests.
The chief guest along with other guests had distributed the certificates and prizes among 15 meritorious students.
The speakers said the children could play significant role in nation building and other development activities when they are grown good citizens completing their academic activities. It must help fulfill the dream of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. They should be nursed with care properly, the speakers added.
