Professor Banchita Chakma has joined Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College, a reputed educational institution located in Mirpur as the rector of this institution.
Earlier, she was the Principal of Rangamati Government Women's College and Rangamati Government University College and later served as an honorary member of the National Human Rights Commission for three years. Soon after retiring from the National Human Rights Commission, Professor Banchita Chakma joined Banophool Adibashi Green Heart Collegeas the rector.
On this occasion, a special orientation programme was organized by the authorities of Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College in compliance with the health guidelines on Saturday, 14 August 2021.
The chairman of Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College governing body, Prajnananda Mahathera presided over the ceremony. General Secretary of the Hill Buddhist Association Prosenjit Chakma was present as chief guest at the ceremony while Principal Sudip Kumar Mandal attended the programme as the special guest.
The function was addressed by Vice Principal Matia Khan. All Teachers of Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College participated in the ceremony maintaining hygiene rules.
Newly appointed rector Banchita Chakma paid homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the beginning of her speech.
She said that every day of an educational institution is very familiar to her and she will continue to make every effort to take this renowned educational institution forward through her experience.
