Mozammal Haque Apu, president of Chhalimabad union unit of Juba League at Bancharampur upazila in Brahmanbaria, has been expelled from the party for allegedly beating a policeman during the Primary Education Examination (PEC).
The policeman caught him in red-handed while Apu was supplying copy at the exam.
He was expelled at an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the Juba League of Bancharampur Upazila on Tuesday afternoon. President of Bancharampur Upazila Jubo League Saidul Islam Bhuiyan Bakul and general secretary Tofazzal Hasan issued a press release on this.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bancharampur Model Police Station Salauddin Ahmed said the accused had been arrested under the statement of the plaintiff.
In the incident, Parveen Akhter, secretary of the exam centre, filed a case with Bancharampur police station in this connection.
