Ban on indoor outdoor gatherings in Chuadanga

The Chuadanga district administration imposed the ban on all types of meetings, gatherings, religious meetings and seminar at four upazilas in the district combat the spread of COVID-19.

Nazrul Islam Sarker, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chuadanga, issued a circular in this regard on March 19, saying that all kinds of indoor and outdoor gathering will be closed following the outbreak of coronavirus. “Community centre, party centre and couching centre would also be closed until issuing further order,” it was said in the circular.

Meanwhile, a team of district administration, led by Nazrul Islam Sarker, visited different markets in Chuadanga district town on March 20 and asked the businessmen to sell the commodities in fair price.

The DC asked the people, those who are in home quarantine, to stay alone at room for 14 days under the supervision of health department. If necessary the quarantined person can meet and talk to his family members from a meter distance. Any violator of quarantine will be punished under virus disease act-2018, he said.   

Nazrul Islam Sarker called upon all to avoid handshaking and not to attend any gathering. He also called upon the people to use mask and wash hands before eating and touching different parts of the body.
