Uncertainty looms large over holding the 500-year old Eid Mela in Bagha upazila during this year as well. No clear decision has yet been taken from the Bagha upazila administration in this regard.
Sharmin Akhter, UNO of Bagha in this connection informed the DC did not inform her anything of holding the fair. The last Eid-Mela in Bagha was held in 2019. The concerned authorities leased the Mela premises at Tk 21 lakh 52 thousand under 15 terms and conditions for 15-day.
