Bangladesh Air Force is going to organise an air show on the occasion of celebrating Golden Jubilee of Independence in February, 2022.
As part of the programme, the webpage launching ceremony of ‘Bangladesh Air Show-2022’ was held at BAF Falcon Hall at Tejgaon in the capital on Thursday, said ISPR.
Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat launched the webpage of the air show as the chief guest.
Earlier, on the arrival of the chief guest at the venue, he was welcomed by Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Plan) Air Vice Marshal Md. Shafiqul Alam.
It may be mentioned that through this event BAF has been able to broadcast the preliminary information related to the ‘Air Show-2022’ to the world.
At the beginning of his speech, the chief guest expressed his gratitude to Almighty Allah. He paid homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation and the Greatest Bengali of all time. We have got independent and sovereign Bangladesh for him.
He also remembered all the martyrs of liberation war and expressed his condolence to their departed souls and family members.
He said that BAF, which was born during the war of liberation, will introduce Bangladesh to the world through the air show which is going to be organized on the occasion of the golden jubilee of Independence.
The air show will play a significant role in accelerating a country's economic development, expanding tourism industry, opening up new employment opportunities and earning foreign exchange. Cox's Bazar, the unbroken longest Sea Beach city in the world, is chosen as the venue for the event.
Through this event it will be possible to present the trend and overall growth of Bangladesh to the world. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the worthy daughter of the Father of the Nation, the present government is working relentlessly to materialize the goal of upgrading Bangladesh status as a developed country. Organizing Bangladesh Air Show-2022 is a well thought directives of the Prime Minister.
BAF will supervise the overall conduct of this event. Through this air show, Bangladesh will have an access to the vast industry of aviation business and proposed international airport at Cox’s Bazar will be projected as the connecting hub of East-West air route which will open the door of immense potential of aviation industry. It is expected that this air show will have a clear impact on the overall growth of Bangladesh including investment, employment, foreign exchange earnings and present a picture of overall development in Bangladesh.
Principal Staff Officers of Air Headquarters, Chairman CAAB, Representative of AFD, DGFI, Other Air Officers and members of print and electronic media were present in the ceremony.
