BAF’s certificate award ceremony held

The certificate award ceremony of No 118 Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC) held at Bangladesh Air Force Command and Staff Training Institute (CSTI) at BAF Base Bashar in Dhaka cantonment on Thursday. 

ISPR hand out said ,Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Plans) of BAF, Air Vice Marshal A H M Fazlul Haque was distributed certificates and trophy among the graduating officers as the ‘chief guest’. 

On his arrival, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Plans) was received by Group Captain Md Sharif Mustafa, Officer Commanding of CSTI. In the opening address, Officer Commanding of CSTI gave a brief resume on the training and academic curriculums of No 118 JCSC. 

21 officers from BAF, one officer from Srilanka Air Force and  two officers from Nigeria Air Force have undergone this 13-week-long course. 

The course is designed to train officers on effective command and staff duties within service, inter-service and joint service environments. Since inception of JCSC in 1976, CSTI is tasked to prepare future leaders of Bangladesh Armed Forces who can serve the nation with dignity and honour. The chief guest handed over the certificates to all graduating officers and awarded the “Chief of Air Staff’s Certificate and Trophy” to Squadron Leader Md Rakib Hosain of BAF for his overall best performance in the course. While addressing, he has emphasized on applied knowledge for the graduating officers and he thanked the government of Srilanka and Nigeria for sending officers in this course.

 He added that command and staff skills which have been achieved in the course would also be of immense value in shouldering the future assignments. He appreciated the institute for conducting the course successfully despite the pandemic COVID-19 situation.  Senior officers of BAF and other guests were present in the certificate award ceremony.
