Two more students of Milestone School and College succumbed on Friday to their severe burn injuries in the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) fighter training jet crash on the campus of the educational institution in the capital’s Uttara on Monday.
Identified as Tasnif Afroz Ayman and Musabbir Makin, 13, died at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery where they had been undergoing treatment.
Dr Shawon Bin Rahman, a resident surgeon at the institute, said Ayman passed away around 9:30am and Makin, around 1:15pm.
With the deaths of Ayman and Musabbir, death toll from the jet crash now stoot at 14 at the burn institute.
Besides, the death toll in the jet crash incidents reported to have climbed to 36, although officially the number of deaths was 33.
The BAF fighter jet crash incident also left around 100 others injured and condition of many of them was critical.
Dr Shawon Bin Rahman said, "Ayman had suffered 45 percent burns on his body, including his airways. He was in critical condition and had been kept in the intensive care unit.
He said, Musabbir Makin had suffered 70 percent burns on his body, including his airways."
