Another student succumbed on Friday to his severe burn injuries in the Bangladesh Air Force fighter training jet crash at the capital’s Milestone School and College on Monday.
Ten-year-old Ayman passed away around 9:30am at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery where he had been undergoing treatment, Dr Shawon Bin Rahman, a resident surgeon at the institute.
"He had suffered 45 percent burns on his body, including his airways. He was in critical condition and had been kept in the intensive care unit," the doctor said.
With Ayman's death, the death toll from the jet crash now stands at 14 at the burn institute.
With the death of Ayman, the death toll in the jet crash reported to have climbed to 35, although officially the number of deaths was 32.
The BAF fighter jet crash incident also left around 100 others injured and condition of many of the critical.
