A C-130B transport aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) brought back 70 Bangladeshi nationals from the Maldives on a return flight on Sunday.
The mission consisting of a 19 BAF Air Crew was led by Air Commodore MA Awal Hossain, said Md Noor Islam, assistant director of Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) Directorate.

In compliance with the policies published by the government, BAF is conducting various activities under the direction of Prime Minister to prevent coronavirus.

In line with this, a C-130B transport aircraft of BAF transported 70 jobless Bangladeshi expatriates from Maldives to Dhaka. All these expatriate Bangladeshi people were living legally in Maldives.

It has been possible to bring them back to the country at the request of the expatriate Bangladeshi people and with the earnest support of the Maldives government.

Those migrants who are not infected with COVID-19 returned Bangladesh from Maldives after being confirmed by proper medical check-up.
It is mentionable that AC-130B transport aircraft of BAF left Dhaka for Maldives on Saturday with relief items and 11 Bangladeshi doctors serving in Maldives on emergency basis.

Earlier on April 21, a C-130J transport aircraft of BAF brought back another batch of 70 Bangladeshis from the Island country on a return flight.
