A delegation from the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority (BAERA) visited Rosatom Technical Academy (Rosatomtech) of Russia recently, at the invitation of the Russian Federal Service for environmental, technological, and nuclear supervision (Rostekhnadzor).
Rosatom Technical Academy organised an introductory lecture for the BAERA delegation, said a press release.Dr Vladimir Artisyuk, Advisor to the General Director of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation, made a presentation on the current status of nuclear power development in Russia with a special focus on small modular reactors (SMRs), fast reactors, and closed nuclear cycle.
BAERA representatives also visited the Novoronezh NPP and a number of other nuclear enterprises during their visit to Russia.Presently, Rosatomtech is providing on-job training for the Rooppur NPP operating personnel at Russia’s Novovoronezh NPP.
