Popular producer Srijit Mukherjee is making an Indian web series from Bangladeshi writer Nazim Uddin's novel 'Rabindranath Ekhane Kokhono Khete Ashenni'.
Jaya Ahsan was the first choice of the producer as its central character Mushkan Zuberi. Then came the name of the Pori Moni. In the end, Lux superstar Azmeri Haque Badhon’s name was finalised. Leaving every other actress behind, Badhon has acted in this web series. According to Indian media, the shooting has already started in the Burdwan-Durgapur area of West Bengal. Kolkata singer and producer Anjan Dutt is appearing as one of its characters.
It was learned last July that Srijit was going to make a web series with this popular novel by Nazim Uddin. Which will be produced by Indian OTT platform 'Hoichoi'.
It is said that popular Bangladeshi actors Chanchal Chowdhury and Mosharraf Karim will also act in it. However, after this, Srijit Mukherjee said in a tweet that despite his desire, no one from Bangladesh is in the web series.
He wrote, ‘This is my first work with Hoichoi. I wanted to shoot with Bangladeshi actors. But unfortunately, that is not possible for corona. In any case, I will do my best to keep the taste of Nazim Uddin's novel intact.'
However, in the end, the producer is shooting the web series with Badhon.
